Balkan Dance Party with Bucan Bucan

Born on the stages, street corners, and festival fields of Victoria, BC in 2010, Bučan Bučan has entertained audiences everywhere from theatre halls to breakfast diners. We blend traditional Eastern European Balkan brass songs with a high-energy dance party that’s become a beloved, “not-to-be-missed” phenomenon. Bučan Bučan will serenade you with beautiful vocal harmonies and make you sweat with driving dance hall beats. Our live shows spill into the crowd, beginning or ending with everyone singing together on the dance floor. For over a decade, we’ve brought our music to audiences all over BC. We’ve been a mainstay of The Great Canadian Beer Fest, Rifflandia, and The Nightshift, Victoria’s biggest Halloween party. Our sound draws from Romania, Serbia, Romani traditions, Turkey, old Macedonia, and surrounding areas. We take these traditional songs and add our modern spin.
