Foster Motel is the home base of Joel Stewart (of The Future Hall of Famers) and Jane Gowan (of The Real Shade and Violet Archers), an outlaw indie folk duo from Toronto, Canada. They are touring in April & May, 2026, to celebrate the release of Songs for Stadiums, the forthcoming release from Joel Stewart and the Future Hall of Famers. They’ll be joined on their B.C. dates by Matt Kennedy of Vancouver’s Headlong Hearts. With a mix of originals from Joel and Jane’s catalogues, as well as treasured cuts from our collective DNA, the trio will deliver harmony-based performances of songs that are rich with story, character, and melody. A Foster Motel show feels like an intimate gathering of friends who share the same record collection. Fun fact: Joel and Jane are also the voices and creative force behind the popular podcast Employee of the Myth, about beloved Canadian roots rockers Skydiggers. You will also occasionally hear them co-hosting on Jane’s podcast Music Buddy. WEBSITE: ffm.link/fostermotel
