About the Artists Celia Cruz: One of the most popular Latin artists of the 20th century, Cruz rose to fame in 1950s Cuba before becoming an international superstar. Pablo Cárdenas: A virtuoso Cuban Jazz pianist and composer, Cárdenas is a graduate of the Superior Institute of Arts in Havana. Since moving to Canada in 2011, he has become a cornerstone of the Afro-Cuban music scene, collaborating with the Victoria Symphony and jazz legends like Dee Daniels.
