Victoria.Today started from a pretty simple idea.
I wanted an easier way to discover what was happening around Greater Victoria. I wanted one place where I could quickly see what was happening, explore different interests, and occasionally stumble across something I never would have thought to look for.
The more I searched, the more I found myself jumping between venue websites, ticketing pages, Facebook events, and community calendars. There was plenty happening. It just wasn't easy to discover.
So I started building the site I wished already existed.
Victoria.Today brings local events together into one place and organizes them around how people actually make plans: what's happening now, what's coming up soon, and what's worth checking out next.
It's built for people who already know what they're looking for, and for people who simply want to discover something new.
If the site helps someone discover a new venue, support a local artist, meet new people, or simply have a better Friday night, then it's doing exactly what I hoped it would.
